Experienced Technology & Cybersecurity Leadership Team

Leadership Built On Real Operational Experience

Murdoch Webster is led by people who have spent their careers designing, operating and securing real technology environments.

This is not a leadership team removed from delivery. It is a team shaped by hands-on experience across infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity, with a practical understanding of what works in complex operational environments and what does not.

Across enterprise, education and commercial sectors, the team brings decades of experience leading large-scale infrastructure environments, delivering security programs and building technology businesses. That experience directly informs how we support clients every day.

The focus remains consistent. Understand the environment. Reduce operational risk. Deliver outcomes that continue to perform over time.

Leadership Team Overview

Murdoch Webster leadership delivers strategy, governance and expertise aligned with business and technology outcomes.

Who leads Murdoch Webster?

Murdoch Webster is led by Chris Mearns, Founder and Tom Allan, Chief Executive Officer. Together, they bring complementary experience across technical delivery, business leadership and scaling technology services organisations.

How does leadership drive strategy?

Strategy is shaped by practical experience and a clear understanding of client environments. It focuses on reducing risk, improving capability and ensuring technology supports long-term business objectives.

Governance is built into how engagements are delivered. Clear ownership, structured decision making and ongoing oversight ensure environments remain secure, stable and aligned as they evolve.

How involved is the leadership team in client engagements?

The leadership team remains actively involved, particularly in shaping direction, reviewing key decisions and supporting complex environments. This ensures clients benefit from experience where it matters, not just at the start of an engagement.

Do clients deal directly with leadership?

Yes. While day-to-day delivery is handled by experienced engineers and service teams, clients have direct access to senior leadership when needed. This helps ensure alignment, fast decision making and accountability.

How does leadership ensure consistency across clients?

Consistency comes from how the business is run. Clear standards, experienced teams and active oversight ensure that environments are managed properly and outcomes are delivered consistently, regardless of size or complexity.

How does leadership support long-term clients?

Leadership focuses on maintaining alignment over time. As environments and priorities change, direction is adjusted to ensure technology continues to support the business effectively, rather than becoming static or outdated.
