NETWORK DESIGN · DEPLOYMENT · MANAGEMENT
Most network problems are not hardware problems. They are design problems.
Underperforming networks, unreliable connectivity, and security gaps that sit in the infrastructure rather than the firewall – these are almost always the result of networks that were built reactively rather than designed deliberately.
Murdoch Webster designs, deploys, and manages networks across campus, data centre, and wide area environments. We work with leading vendors, including Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Cloudflare, and Meraki, but the recommendation is always driven by what suits your environment, not by what moves product.
Our networking work is available as a project engagement or as an ongoing managed service. Most clients start with a project and transition into managed operations once the foundation is right.

- SD-WAN and secure wide area connectivity
- Managed LAN, wireless, and campus networks
TWO WAYS TO ENGAGE
Project delivery or ongoing management. Often both.
Some organisations need a specific piece of work done – a campus refresh, a WAN upgrade, a wireless redesign. Others need a team to manage their network on an ongoing basis, handling faults, changes, and performance before issues affect the business.
We deliver both. And because the same team that designs a network is the team that manages it, there is no translation loss between what was built and how it gets operated.
Network Modernisation
Aging network infrastructure creates performance, security, and management problems that compound over time. We redesign and rebuild campus, data centre, and WAN environments to be faster, more resilient, and simpler to operate.
SD-WAN and Secure Connectivity
Reliable, secure connectivity across multiple sites without the cost and rigidity of traditional WAN. We design and deploy SD-WAN solutions that give you visibility and control across every location, with security built into the connectivity layer rather than added on top.
Managed LAN and Wireless
Day to day management of your local area network and wireless infrastructure. Performance, availability, and configuration are monitored and maintained. Faults are identified and resolved before they affect users.
Network Architecture and Design
High-level and low-level network design for organisations building new environments or refreshing existing ones. Design is grounded in your actual requirements — traffic patterns, security needs, growth trajectory — not in a template.
Network and Infrastructure Health Checks
A structured review of your current network environment. We identify configuration issues, performance bottlenecks, security gaps, and end of life equipment – and give you a prioritised list of what to address and in what order.

Common questions about our networking services
Answers to the questions we hear most often from organisations looking at network projects or managed network services.
We start with a review of your current environment – topology, hardware, configuration, traffic patterns, and how the network is actually being used day to day. From that baseline we produce a design that addresses the gaps and sets the environment up for the next several years.
Delivery is staged where possible. We handle implementation directly and where we are managing the environment afterwards, the transition into operations is clean and documented.
A traditional support contract is reactive. You log a ticket when something breaks and wait for a response. Our managed network service is proactive. We monitor your environment continuously, detect faults before they cause outages, and manage changes and patching as part of the service.
Scope is defined clearly at the start. You know exactly what is included, what the response times are, and who is responsible for what.
Yes. Most clients already have Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or other vendor relationships and equipment in place. We work with what is there, assess what should stay, and replace what is creating risk or limiting performance.
We hold certified partnerships with all leading vendors, which gives us escalation paths and technical support that benefit clients directly. But those partnerships do not drive our recommendations.
Yes. Multi-site networking is a significant part of our work. We design and manage environments that span multiple campuses, data centres, and remote sites, with consistent security policy and visibility across every location.
SD-WAN is often the right solution for multi-site connectivity, but we assess each environment on its merits rather than defaulting to a particular approach.
Network security is not a separate layer we bolt on. It is designed into the architecture from the start. Segmentation, access controls, firewall placement, and monitoring are all considered as part of the network design, not afterthoughts.
For organisations that need deeper security operations alongside their network management, we can integrate our cybersecurity services or managed detection and response capability into the same engagement.
We review your network topology, hardware, configuration, security posture, and performance data. The output is a prioritised findings report that tells you what is working, what is creating risk, and what needs to change, with clear recommendations rather than a list of observations.
Most organisations use the health check as the starting point for a modernisation project or to validate that a managed service is scoped correctly.
